10,000 dead slaves and animals from all over the world. That can only be from the coliseum and the gladiator fights. The coliseum also had many earthquakes after the coliseum stopped having fights because of christianity. Because the coliseum had so many earthquakes, Rome used the coliseum as a fort as well.

The building was used for a bad purpose like people watch other people get killed and have fight for entertainment gladiators fought each other to death other people even fought animals in the coliseum these games were public shows paid for by emperors and other important Romans to gain popularity.

In the Roman Empire the coliseum was one of the biggest strucutres at that time. The coliseum was once known as the Flavian Amphitheater. The coliseum was being built when the emperor Vespian ruled with his son Titus. The coliseum was known for gladiators fighting and getting killed as entertainment to the common Roman people. What some people didn't know is that other rulers show their wealth and food and wine was given to the roman people on the day of fights at the coliseum.

Conclusion

Our conclusion for this website is that the coliseum was used for bad purposes such as killings of the slaves and gladiators. But the coliseum was also used to give food out to the porospectors. The coliseum was used for good and bad purposes but in the end it was only entertainment.
